Is Googlebook available in India?
No India launch date or official rupee price has been announced. India is not in Google's first retail-market list, so direct currency conversions of the $899 U.S. price should not be treated as an India price.
What makes Googlebook different from a Chromebook?
Google describes Googlebook as a premium category built on Android technology with desktop foundations from ChromeOS. It keeps desktop Chrome and extensions, adds Android apps, and is designed around Gemini Intelligence rather than treating AI as a separate app.
Key Gemini and Android features
- Magic Pointer: summon Gemini against content already on screen.
- Rambler: turns spoken thoughts into structured notes and writing.
- Create My Widget: builds desktop widgets from plain-language requests.
- Continue On: resume supported phone tasks on the laptop.
- Cast My Apps: interact with Android phone apps in a desktop window.
What hardware do Googlebooks use?
Google says launch devices use premium materials, touchscreens up to 2.8K OLED, Intel or Qualcomm processors, dedicated NPUs above 45 TOPS and up to 14 hours of battery life. Every Googlebook also includes up to 10 years of feature and security updates.
