Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar OTT release: quick answer
- OTT release date: October 9, 2026
- Streaming platform: Netflix
- Languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi
- Lead: Parvathy Thiruvothu
- Director: Shahad Nilambur
- Theatrical release: September 11, 2026
The Week reported on October 5 that Netflix has confirmed the October 9 premiere and the five-language release. A current weekly OTT listing from Sacnilk independently lists the same Netflix date and language set.
Is the October 9 Netflix date confirmed?
Current reporting is stronger than the earlier pre-announcement coverage. On October 4, some outlets were still describing October 9 as a reported date because neither Netflix nor the makers had publicly confirmed it. The Week's October 5 update explicitly says the platform has confirmed the release date. That distinction matters for anyone seeing older search results that still label the date as tentative.
No exact release clock time has been announced in the sources checked, so viewers should treat October 9 as the confirmed date without assuming a midnight or other specific launch time.
Which languages will be available?
The film is set to stream in its original Malayalam along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. The multilingual rollout makes the OTT release relevant beyond its initial Malayalam theatrical audience.
What is Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar about?
Parvathy plays Aleena Abraham, a woman who enters the police force as a Civil Police Officer through a compassionate appointment. A murder case at her local police station changes the situation dramatically when Aleena and her colleagues themselves come under suspicion.
The thriller follows the investigation and the pressure on the officers as the case develops. Parvathy's performance is notable as her first Malayalam police role. The principal cast also includes Mathew Thomas, Vijayaraghavan, Unnimaya Prasad, Sidharth Bharathan and Vinay Forrt.
From theatres to Netflix
Directed by Shahad Nilambur, Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar opened in cinemas on September 11 during the Onam release period. Its move to Netflix comes less than a month later, creating a straightforward follow-up for viewers who missed the theatrical run or were waiting for dubbed versions.
Reports differ on the movie's precise box-office total, so this guide does not use a single collection figure as a confirmed fact. The useful OTT information is much firmer: October 9, Netflix, and five listed languages.
